Praying for God to put that special someone in your life?
Most single Christians ask the Lord for a wife or husband that He’s picked out for them, but many ask amiss.
“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” – James 4:3 KJV
It’s the parts of us that are not crucified unto Him that we’re still maintaining our friendship with the world that is enmity with God. We must decrease so he can increase, we have to Humble ourselves before the Lord. Allow His will to come first in your life and forget not that He knows the desires of your heart.
Try praying a different way and ask the Lord to make you into be the husband or the wife for the person that He’s chosen for you.
Why does this make sense?
Unintentionally one of the first things most people do is try to change the other person, but if you are already changed on the inside that won’t even cross your mind, what they don’t do, what they could do, it just won’t matter to you. You’ll be able to show them Grace as He has shown us. Therefore, be holy as he is Holy.
Read Ephesians 5 and understand guys, you have to be a bride to your husband first; I speak regarding the bridegroom, our Lord Jesus Christ for he is the head of a man. Submit unto Him seeking His will first, His kingdom, and all things will be applied on to you.
Likewise sisters, are you ready to let him lead and be a bridesmaid, the helpmeet that is pleasing unto the Lord? It’s a hard thing to be passive to another person, but such as requirement unto the Lord and He knows your heart.
Remember folks to submit means to surrender your will to their will.
So ladies keep in mind that when you surrender to your husband, whether he’s right or wrong, you are doing so to show obedience unto the Lord, not a man; even if your husband doesn’t see it that way yet, he may need to grow a bit more so, just let him think it and be the light. Pray for him and watch for God will work it out; Jesus will put everything in order.
Saints place your trust in Him for He is perfect, people are not.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you all, God bless and take care.
