When Perilous Times Come

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” – 2 Timothy 3:1 KJV

Ladies if a man doesn’t respect your husband, you need to realize he doesn’t respect you. The Apostle Paul warns Timothy of this, be not deceived. Other men are just using you for their purpose disregarding that the two became one flesh and God is not mocked.

“For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
– 2 Timothy 3:6-7 KJV

God knows our hearts more so than we know our own. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” – Jeremiah 17:9 KJV

This is how these men “creep in”, they come in the name of love and begin exploiting what they see as wrong with your husband comparing themselves to him, what they would have done, what he should do, etc.. Then they begin to exalt your opinions, praising you after using fear against you in doubt to question your headship; this shows you a type of false love as to entice you into trusting them over who the Lord approved of; hence, the phrase “led away with divers lusts”. Leading you into captivity for you are being brought into the bondage of sin through these types of men. The Apostle Paul says such are “silly” as it is foolish not to trust the Lord.

In Ephesians 5 we learn that the man is the head of the woman as Christ is the head of the church and savior of the body. This is how Jesus Christ operates in a orderly marriage. The man being made in God’s image as the women is made from man’s image, the husband is to represent Christ to her. The Apostle Peter also states this in his first epistle.

“Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.” – 1 Peter 3:6 KJV

Remember how these certain men begin their deceit, they use fear against you of your ordained headship of which you are a helpmeet in following the Lord. As the serpent beguiled Eve nothing is new under the sun. Provoking you to fear following your husbands spiritual direction, afraid in amazement; “Hath God said?”

So from them you will always be learning of their revelations following after their grace and because grace is an individual experience, you will never come to the knowledge of the truth which is Jesus Christ. The Lord will not reveal himself to a married woman through the righteousness of another man.

Now the qualities of their heart is described in the previous verses of 2 Timothy 3.

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” – 2 Timothy 3:2-5 KJV

Again, they have a form of godliness, but deny the power within. This is not of their own doing, but their ignorance of God’s righteousness makes them not of Christ, but antichrist. Every man is right in their own eyes (Prov 21:2) so, they think they are following the Lord correctly by rebuking firmly husbands to their wives according to what they know. Never having circumcised their heart to trust in God completely, never having learned Christ they themselves are under the law of which they claim not to be; for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Rom 3:20) And it is the sin of the husbands they focus upon to lead women astray…

The Apostle Jude also speaks to this, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Jude 1:4 KJV

The Apostle Peter also instructs us in his second Epistle chapter two with his writings almost mirroring Jude’s.

“But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.” – 2 Peter 2 :10 KJV

Despising the government of marriage they are self-willed seeing themselves through a telescope and that of others through a microscope. Being not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, but rather find it common practice two expose unrelated faults of those they don’t agree with.

Jude says it slighty different; “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.” – Jude 1:8 KJV

Ultimately their identity is in that of a woman’s opinion of them. Therefore, they feel the need to express their righteousness as to gain acceptance, slowly seducing through vein speech and flattering words as to become an illegitimate Elder.

There is no biblical precedent in which females have male elders. For young women are to submit to older women as young men are two older men. Once married, wives are to ask their husbands for interpretation and understanding if they have questions as this allows for Grace; the two being one flesh with one head. Certain men however will not respect the natural order of God’s design.

“Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.” – 2 Timothy 3:8 KJV

Reprobate, unprincipled concerning the faith, not that they don’t have faith, its that they don’t allow for faith and cannot cease from doing.

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” – Romans 3:28 KJV

The deeds of the law, the works, the actions to demonstrate your faith by works is seen as the “correct way”. They need to, have to, get to; but the spirit of the Lord rest upon men, not works upon them. Jesus says many will be turned away being workers of iniquity, not resters of iniquity. Therefore, by the deeds of the law men are not justified by faith. For how is there trust if you do for yourself?

“But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.” – 2 Timothy 3:9 KJV

For both parties it is disrespectful to God and again, He is not mocked. Nevertheless, some people insist on bringing correction upon themselves as was the days of Noah; woe unto them as everyone reaps what they’ve sown as the Lord does not respect persons. When enough is enough all will be made known.

“But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” – 2 Timothy 3:10-12 KJV

Make note of this, “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” know if you are experiencing this situation it is a persecution for living godly, therefore rejoice knowing that these are the last days of coming out of Babylon!

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” – 2 Timothy 3:13-15 KJV

We know that all things happen for the good to them that know and love the Lord and are called according to his purpose for you can see the light at the end of this tunnel. Praise God that He chose you for this test and don’t drop out like many before who walked with him no more (Jn 6:66) When the going gets tough the tough get going, but the meek learn Christ enduring until the end.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Timothy 3:13-17 KJV

Remember brethren,

“For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.” – Mark 13:34 KJV

What is the porter, but a servant. What is he commanded to do? Watch letting go of the deeds of the law to be justified by the faith that the Lord is once again going to make you the ruler of your household,

“And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.” – Luke 12:42-44 KJV

Know such is a persecution of the Lord’s baptism, therefore embrace it.

“I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!” – Luke 12:49-50 KJV

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ keep you in the days ahead and in the abundance of His mercy grant you strength and patience. God bless you and take care.
